Added 50+ New Old Tools For Sale Today

Hello Woodworkers!

I added more than 50 new items to my For Sale list today. Today’s additions includes a lot of good measuring and layout tools, lots of user chisels, some saws, braces and bit sets, molding planes, and the usual fun stuff. Any items left-over from last month have been reduced in price. As always, if you want to purchase anything, or have any questions or comments please contact me.

The proper way of holding the moulding and similar planes is shown in fig. 76. The back of the stock is grasped near the top by the right hand, the thumb being towards the workman, and all the fingers on the opposite side of the tool. The front end of the plane is kept well down on the work by the left thumb which is placed on the upper side of the stock. The forefinger, which is bent at the second joint, is pressed against the side of the stock to keep the fence in contact with the work ; but the remaining fingers are closed in the palm of the hand. The plane must be lifted off the work at the termination of the strokes, as the iron will lose its keenness if drawn backwards over the work, besides subjecting the sole to useless wear.

Over the past week or so I have received a number of emails from folks who just read Christopher Schwarz’s new book, “The Anarchist’s Tool Chest” . Lots of people want the tools Chris recommends in this book. I look forward to receiving my copy (an early Father’s Day present from my wife) which I hope will arrive in today’s mail. It should be a good read.

Thanks for reading!

Josh
