Tools for Sale

Two tools in new-old-stock condition in their original boxed. Both were made by the Duro Metal Products Co. of Chicago, NY. One is a grease ram for a Ford Model A. The other is for Zerk fittings. Both boxes are excellent with bright, vibrant colors. $35

This is an official BSA knife made by Western in Boulder, CO. It has a 4 1/2in blade. It's in very good condition with minimal wear. The edge is decently sharp and has no dings. The original leather sheath is in great shape. $45

This is a standard Kelly "Flint Edge" 2 1/4lb hatchet. It has a good edge with no chips to grind out. The poll has a small amount of wear. It has an absolutely perfect new-old-stock handle with a crisp original label. A great example to use. $45

This is an excellent example of one of the most desirable Norland axes. It's clearly marked on the head. It's sharp and has no wear. The handle is in excellent condition, excepting a hang hole. The original leather sheath is in perfect condition. $225

This axe head is in excellent condition. The edges and corners of the poll are crisp and sharp- it was never used as a sledgehammer. The bevel has no dings to worry about grinding out. It would just need to be hung and sharpened. $28

This spokeshave design was patented by Elijah Holmes on Jan 1, 1856. It's the only example I've seen. It is in very good codition, free of damage, and clearly used a bit. The design uses a single wing nut to secure the blade in place. This isn't a spokeshave you are probably going to want to use, but it's a very nice example of a rare tool. $55

I believe this is an adjustable spanner wrench but I'm not positive. It could be a layout tool. I do know that it will work to open the chuck of a Millers Falls no. 2 hand drill chuck,. It's marked Patent August 15, 1892 which is not a valid date in DATAMP. A mystery. $5

This is a well-made, cute little adjustable wrench. It has little wear and still works well. $10

This is an early, hand-forged screwdriver 17in long overall $10

This jointer fence was made for E.C. Simmons and sold under the Keen Kutter brand name. I'm 99% sure it was made by E.C. Stearns. It's in exceptional condition with no damage at all. It's the only example I've ever seen. $65

This is a blacksmith's forming tool made by Atha prior to the Stanley acquisition. It has minimal wear on the working face and only slight mushrooming on the poll where it's struck with the hammer. It's an uncommon tool to find. $30

This is an unused blade made by the highly regarded Ron Hock. The blade is 2 5/8in wide and has posts 3 15/16in on center. It's ideal if you intend to make a wooden spokeshave. You can still buy these new today from Lee Valley for $40. $28

This small axe has a 3 3/4in wide face and a claw poll. The mark is clearly from Woodings-Verona Tool Works (Thanks, Savannah for the ID!) which was based in Pittsburgh, PA. It has light wear, good claws, and an excellent handle. $28

This is a cute litle adjustable wrench, 4 1/4in long when closed. It's perfectly usable. It was made by B&S in Hartford, CT $24

This is an EC Stearns jointer fence made in Syracuse, NY. It clamps to the plane's side to help keep the plane at a specific angle. This isn't terribly helpful for keeping it at 90- that's pretty easy. The real use case for this is planing to an unusual angle. It's a good, usable example with light discoloration but no damage. $45

This shave was made by Leonard Bailey in Boston prior to Stanley. It has the original eye hook screw on the lever cap and the original blade. The blade has some discoloration but the mark is clear. The underside is cast with Bailey's Aug 31, 1585 patent. $45

This is a well-used example complete with the claws which are frequently broken off. This example has a very light, but distinct mark. The handle is excellent. The bevel is decent with only one chip. A top quality edge tool that could be returned to working order without too much work. $28

This is a Mohawk brand hammer with an octagonal hickory handle, good claws, and a clean face. $24
