This is a heavy 22in wooden jointer plane with a 2 1/2in wide blade. It's marked at the heel "2 1/2" with a diamond logo "FWE British Made London" and the broadarrow mark. It's also marked with the date 1944. It's in excellent condition, barely used. The sole is clean. The mouth is tight. The tote is excellent. The blade is long, clean, and free of pitting. It's made of heavy English beech and weighs 7.5lbs. A fine working jointer if you like wooden planes. $60

This plane was made by Hervey Hills in Springfield, MA, working dates 1845-51. This plane is usable. The threads are excellent. The depth stop works perfectly. The nuts have repaired and stabilized cracks. One washer has a check. It still adjusts easily and stays set. It's a decent worker, not a collector's item. It comes with five blades in a variety of difference sizes, all of which have been test-fit to this specific plane. If you don't need the blades, subtract $25 from the price. $65

This is a Sandusky model 129 plow. It has a specially carved handle which fits the right hand of the user. It's not going to work for lefties. This plane also has a dovetailed boxwood wear plate on the fence. The plane has barely any wear and no damage at all. The threads are perfect. The depth stop, which also has a locking screw, is tight and accurate. The washers and nuts are in excellent condition and rotate easily. It's an outstanding working example. This plane has no maker's mark, but it does have model no. 104 stamped on the toe which matches the description in the Ohio Tool catalogs. The entire plane is boxwood. The plane has been restored and is perfectly usable. The nuts had checks, which were repaired and stabilized. There is also a check along the side from the depth stop screw down to the depth stop locking screw, which has also been repaired. The screw threads are excellent. The depth stop works perfectly. It's quite a pretty plane and a bargain worker, considering the price boxwood plows usually sell for. This is a high quality plane in excellent working condition. It is not a collector's item at all. This is a working plow plane. It's a Sandusky model 133, which would have had ivory tips originally. The tips have been removed, which, frankly, I'm perfectly fine with. The plane has minimal wear from use. There's a small chip in the top of the tote's horn. The screw threads have light wear from use but still work perfectly. It's made from a beautiful deep reddish brown rosewood. The depth stop works well. This is a high quality plane made by Griffiths in Norwich. It's 8in long with a 2 1/4in wide blade. It's fitted with a steel toe piece, an option offered by several British planemkaers in the 19th century. The blade is a beautiful Marples double iron with all of its length and no pitting. If you want to use this you'll need to do a little work- the body has shrunk a bit, or been worn from use, so that the steel toe is proud of the rest of the sole. A few minutes with a file or float will have it even with the rest of the plane. It will make a fine worker for certain. $55

This is a high-quality plane made by Varvill in York. It's an unusual plane and seldom seen. It's bigger than it looks in the photos, measuring 10in long, 3 1/8in wide with a 2in wide single iron bedded at a low angle. The plane has moderate wear but is still usable. Whelan's book has pages on this plane, some of which is conjecture. It's clear that the plane could be used normally or, thanks to the lack of a tote, upside-down held in a vise. It's one of the few examples I've seen of this sort of plane $50

This is a beautifully made wooden router made of mahogany. These are simple tools, but this one is nicely decorated and clearly appreciated. Check out the small cove and ovolo molding that runs the outside of the body, both on the outside and inside, and even the curved bits! This plane uses a brass or bronze retaining mechanism. It comes with a set of three blades in roughly 3/16in, 7/16in, and 5/8in widths. It's one of the best wooden routers I've found. I've never seen one with a set of blades like this. $95
