This machinists indicator was made and patented by Henry Koch of Nyack, NY. The design was patented July 17, 1906. It's an interesting concept that allows both the plunger on the front and the radiused post on the rear to be used to move the indicator needle. This would allow it to be used as a standard indicator as well as an inside indicator. The top plate slides off easily exposing the internals. It still works well. It's mounted to a lathe tool post and comes in a custom-fit box. I don't think it would replace my vintage Starrets, but it's a really interesting tool. $25

I made up the term "thumb micrometer" because I don't know what else to call this. It was made by the Tubular Micrometer Company (aka Tumico) which operated in St. James, MN. This is a thousandths mic with a frame clearly intended to loop around one finger with the thumb operating the knurled sleeve. There is also a large dial added to the top of the sleeve which allows the operator to easily read thousandths. I can find no others like it. $45
